Agorapulse vs CoSchedule (2027): CoSchedule vs Agorapulse Pricing, Free Plan, X Add-ons, Inbox and Which Fits a Startup or Small Team

Agorapulse vs CoSchedule: Social Inbox and Reports or a Marketing Calendar for Your Startup?

Agorapulse and CoSchedule both schedule posts to Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and the other big networks, but they are built for different jobs. Agorapulse is a social media management suite centred on a shared inbox, moderation and reporting, sold per user. CoSchedule is a marketing calendar with social publishing: posts sit next to your campaigns and content, the price is per plan, and there is a free plan for one profile. Whether you search for Agorapulse vs CoSchedule or CoSchedule vs Agorapulse, the question is the same, so we checked plans, prices, trials, X add-ons, networks and AI features on agorapulse.com and coschedule.com in November 2026 to show what a founder or a small team gets and pays in 2027.
Quick answer: for a solo founder or a team of two or three who mainly plan and publish, CoSchedule costs far less: $29 a month (billed annually) for one person and 3 social profiles, $49 a month for 2 people with approvals, and a free plan for 1 profile. Choose Agorapulse when replying to comments, DMs and reviews is a daily job and you want strong reports: it starts at $79 per user per month (billed annually) with 10 social profiles and an inbox for every network, and its 30-day trial needs no card. Agorapulse ended its classic free plan on 6 July 2026; the only free option now is the AI-only Archie plan. On both tools, X (Twitter) costs extra.

Agorapulse: Social Inbox, Publishing and Reports in One Tool

Agorapulse calls itself an AI social media platform for business results. Its strongest part is community management: one inbox for comments, DMs and Google reviews from all connected networks, with moderation rules, assignments and reports on how fast your team replies. Publishing, a shared calendar and reporting on posts, audience and ROI (through Google Analytics) come with every plan. Every plan also includes an AI Writing Assistant, AI alt text and an MCP connection, so ChatGPT or Claude can work with your Agorapulse inbox, posts and reports.
Plans (checked November 2026, per user per month, billed annually):
  • Standard, $79: 10 social profiles, unlimited scheduling, the all-in-one inbox with comment moderation and Google reviews, basic and white-label reports, 6 months of data and email support.
  • Professional, $119: adds internal comments and simple approval workflows, link in bio, Instagram product tagging, first comments, ad comment moderation, assigning messages to teammates, team performance reports, Canva and live chat support.
  • Advanced, $149: adds bulk scheduling of up to 200 posts by CSV, publishing queues, shared calendars, saved replies, sentiment labels, advanced, ads and ROI reports, competitor benchmarking, Zapier and 24 months of data.
  • Custom, on request: unlimited social profiles, AI reply suggestions, multi-step approvals, SSO and custom roles, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack and Microsoft Teams, an API and a dedicated customer success manager.
  • Trial and billing: the 30-day free trial is two 15-day blocks, gives you most Advanced features, needs no card and does not turn into a paid plan by itself. Plans are billed per user, so every teammate you invite becomes a paid seat when you subscribe. Monthly billing exists, but the page says annual billing saves up to 20%. Extra social profiles cost $10 a month each.
The free plan is gone, Archie took its place. According to Agorapulse's Archie plan help article, the classic free plan stopped being available on 6 July 2026. Former free users can move to a paid plan or to the free Archie plan: 1 owner, up to 100 Archie-only users, up to 50 profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube only, and 10 credits a month (not tracked during the beta). On that plan, new posts can only be created with Archie, Agorapulse's AI studio that turns a PDF, article, webinar or video into posts for each network in your brand voice. It is a useful free tool for repurposing content, but not a free social media manager with an inbox.
X (Twitter) costs extra. Agorapulse connects X only through paid add-ons: X Lite at $29 per X profile a month for publishing only, or X Plus at $69 for publishing, inbox and reports. X profiles do not count toward your 10 included profiles. The other networks counted in the plan are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (pages and personal profiles), TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business.

CoSchedule: Social Publishing on a Marketing Calendar

CoSchedule sells social media management on a drag-and-drop marketing calendar. You plan campaigns, blog posts, emails and social posts in one place, move a launch date and its posts move with it, publish to 11 networks, recycle evergreen posts with ReQueue and reply from a Social Inbox. It suits a founder or a small team that runs social media as one part of its marketing, not as a customer service desk.
Plans (checked November 2026, USD):
  • Free: schedule up to 15 posts at a time on 1 social profile. CoSchedule's free plan help article says drafts and failed posts count toward the 15, and X, social analytics and ReQueue need a paid plan. You reach the free plan by starting a trial and cancelling it before it ends.
  • Starter, $29 a month billed annually ($39 monthly): 1 user, 3 social profiles (+$5 a month each), unlimited scheduling, ReQueue, analytics, a Social Inbox for Facebook and Instagram, and the AI Social and Campaign Assistants. CoSchedule calls it the plan for the one-person marketing department.
  • Professional, $49 billed annually ($59 monthly): 2 users plus 1 more at $29 a month (3 at most), 5 social profiles, an inbox for 9 networks with saved and AI replies, social message approvals, AI Insights, read-only calendar sharing and client calendars for agencies.
  • Suite, custom from $69 a month: as many users as you need, roles and permissions, content and campaign planning with templates and custom fields, AI brand voice training and SSO. Suite starts with a demo, not a trial.
  • Extras and discounts: X profiles are not included in any plan and cost $16 per profile a month. Nonprofits get 30% off paid plans. The 14-day trial on Starter and Professional asks for a card, but you are not charged if you cancel before it ends.
AI and integrations: every paid plan includes the AI Social Assistant, AI Campaign Assistant and AI Project Assistant, AI image generation and more than 1,600 prompt templates, and you can choose OpenAI or Anthropic models to power the assistant. CoSchedule connects to Mailchimp, HubSpot, Canva, Zapier, WordPress and Google Analytics, among others, and imports up to 365 social messages at once. What Agorapulse and CoSchedule Really Cost a Small Team

Agorapulse charges per user and CoSchedule per plan, so the gap grows with every person you add. On annual billing, one founder pays $29 a month for CoSchedule Starter or $79 for Agorapulse Standard. If two people need approvals, CoSchedule Professional costs $49 a month, while two Agorapulse Professional seats cost $238; for three people it is $78 against $357. Agorapulse does include more profiles: 10 against CoSchedule's 3 or 5, but CoSchedule Starter with 7 extra profiles still comes to $64 a month ($29 + 7 × $5). X is extra on both: $16 per X profile a month on CoSchedule, $29 (X Lite) or $69 (X Plus) on Agorapulse.
What the extra money buys at Agorapulse: an inbox for every network with Google reviews, moderation rules, response-time reports, ROI reports and, on Advanced, competitor benchmarking. If you mostly plan and publish, that budget is better spent on content or ads.

Agorapulse vs CoSchedule: Feature by Feature

Scheduling and the calendar

Both tools offer unlimited scheduling on paid plans. CoSchedule's calendar is the product: social posts, campaigns, projects and tasks sit side by side, and Professional lets you share a read-only view. Agorapulse gives every plan a unified social calendar; calendar notes come with Professional, and shared calendars for clients, publishing queues and CSV bulk scheduling of up to 200 posts with Advanced. If you plan launches, blog posts and emails together, CoSchedule fits better; if you only run social channels, Agorapulse's calendar does the job.

Networks and X

CoSchedule publishes to 11 networks, including Mastodon and Google Business Profile. Agorapulse covers 10 profile types, including Bluesky, Threads and Google Business, and its pricing page also shows Reddit among the supported networks. Neither tool includes X in its plans: CoSchedule charges $16 per X profile a month, Agorapulse $29 for publishing only or $69 with inbox and reports.

Inbox and community management

This is Agorapulse's home ground: one inbox for comments, DMs and Google reviews on every plan, inline translation, contact history and an automated moderation rule per profile; Professional adds assignments and ad comment moderation, Advanced saved replies and sentiment. CoSchedule's Starter inbox covers only Facebook and Instagram; Professional extends it to 9 networks with AI and saved replies. If customers talk to you mostly through social, Agorapulse is the stronger tool.

Analytics, listening and competitors

Agorapulse reports on profiles, posts, community management and ROI through Google Analytics on every plan, with white-label exports and an AI summary. Advanced adds ads reports, advanced ROI reports and competitor benchmarking; deeper Advanced Listening and Competitive Benchmarking are add-ons sold through a demo. CoSchedule has social analytics on paid plans and AI Insights with dashboards on Professional, but no social listening on its pricing page.

AI features

Agorapulse has an AI Writing Assistant in the composer, an Organization Context setting for your brand voice, AI report summaries and Archie for turning long content into posts, plus an MCP connector for ChatGPT and Claude. CoSchedule includes AI Social, Campaign and Project Assistants, AI images and 1,600+ prompts on every paid plan, and lets you choose OpenAI or Anthropic models; brand voice training is a Suite feature.

Team, approvals and support

Approvals are where a small team feels the price gap: CoSchedule includes social message approvals in Professional at $49 a month for 2 users, while Agorapulse puts approval workflows in Professional at $119 per user a month. CoSchedule Professional stops at 3 users, so a growing team moves to Suite; Agorapulse simply adds seats. Agorapulse lists 24/7 support on every plan, with live chat from Professional and a first-response target of under 6 hours on Standard.

What Changed Since the 2026 Version of This Comparison

  • Agorapulse prices: the old text said Agorapulse starts at $119 per user a month. Standard now costs $79 per user a month on annual billing; $119 is the Professional plan.
  • Agorapulse free plan: discontinued on 6 July 2026 and replaced by the free Archie plan, which only creates posts with AI and supports 4 networks.
  • Agorapulse trial: now 30 days in two 15-day blocks, without a card.
  • CoSchedule prices: the old text said $19 per user a month. CoSchedule now starts at $29 a month billed annually ($39 monthly) for 1 user and 3 profiles.
  • X on both tools is now a paid add-on: $16 per profile a month on CoSchedule, $29 or $69 on Agorapulse.
  • Removed: the unsourced claim that startups using Agorapulse saw a 20% rise in engagement, the "forecast optimal posting times" claim, third-party "learn more" links and the generic "common mistakes" section.

Agorapulse or CoSchedule: Which Should You Choose?

How Founders Use a Social Media Tool to Get Customers

A scheduler only pays off if it helps you post the right things consistently and answer people fast. Pick two or three networks where your customers are, plan a month of posts around one launch or problem you solve, and check every week which posts brought clicks, comments and messages. Our guide to social media content calendars shows how to plan that month, and the social media management guide for startups covers the rest of the routine. To measure results without a paid suite, see the open-source social media analytics tools.
Social posts work best next to the other channels: make graphics with one of the free Canva Pro alternatives, answer DMs automatically with the tools in ManyChat vs Chatfuel, and test the message before you spend on promotion: validate your startup idea.
Social traffic fades within days, search traffic keeps coming. The F/MS AI SEO Tool writes articles from your keywords that are built to rank on Google and to be cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity, which you can then turn into posts with Archie or schedule with CoSchedule. F/MS Marketing Services help you get backlinks and guest posts that build your authority.
