Jasper vs Copy.ai in 2027: Marketing Content Agents or a Go-to-Market Workflow Platform for Your Startup?
Jasper and Copy.ai started out as the two best-known AI copywriting apps. They have since moved in different directions. Jasper is now an AI platform for marketing teams: content agents, a brand voice and knowledge layer, and AI search (GEO) tools, all built to keep content on brand. Copy.ai calls itself a go-to-market (GTM) AI platform: workflows that research accounts, write outreach, process leads and create content for sales and marketing, and since October 2025 it belongs to the RevOps software company Fullcast. We checked both on their official websites, pricing pages and help documents on 3 November 2026.
Quick answer: if you are a founder or a small team that mainly needs blog posts, landing pages, emails and social posts in a consistent voice, Jasper fits better. Its Pro plan costs $59 per seat a month on yearly billing, covers one seat, and you can test it with a 7-day free trial. If your team needs AI for sales work, such as account research, cold outreach and lead follow-up, plus a shared chat for up to five people, Copy.ai fits better: its self-serve Chat plan costs $29 a month for 5 seats, while its automated workflows are sold through a demo. Neither tool has a free plan any more.

Jasper vs Copy.ai at a Glance

The Two Platforms Compared
Jasper: AI Agents and Brand Context for Marketing Content
Jasper now presents itself as "applied AI for enterprise marketing". The old idea of a template-based copywriter is gone; the product is built around three parts:
- Jasper IQ, the brand layer: Brand Voice (Jasper analyses your writing and applies tone and formatting rules), Audiences, a Knowledge base of your company and product facts, a Style Guide and Visual Guidelines. Every output draws on this context, so a whole team writes in one voice.
- Canvas and agents: Canvas is the workspace for creating content; purpose-built agents handle marketing jobs such as SEO and GEO content, campaigns, email, social posts, personalization and research. Jasper says it has more than 100 of them.
- GEO and AI search: tools that show how your brand appears in AI answer engines and produce content meant to be cited there. The GEO agent and GEO Hub sit on the Business plan and use credits.
- Everyday extras: a marketing editor with rephrase and rewrite, Jasper Chat, image generation and editing, a Chrome and Edge extension, integrations such as Google Docs, Webflow and Slack, and a Copyscape plagiarism checker add-on.
Jasper says more than 100,000 businesses use it. It is SOC 2 Type II certified and says it does not use customer data to train AI models.
What Jasper Costs
The Jasper pricing page opens on yearly billing ("save ~20%") and lists two plans, in US dollars:
- Pro, $59 per seat a month billed yearly: 1 seat, Canvas, agents for core marketing workflows, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. It comes with a 7-day free trial. Monthly billing costs more and can be cancelled any time; yearly billing is a 12-month commitment.
- Business, custom price: everything in Pro plus agents for GEO, translation and deep research, a no-code builder for custom agents, Jasper Grid for content at scale, unlimited brand context, API access, admin controls, SSO and an account manager. It starts with a 12-month commitment and is sold through sales.
- Good to know: adding a second person means moving to Business. Non-profits can ask for a 20% discount after starting a trial.

Copy.ai: a Go-to-Market Workflow Platform, Now Part of Fullcast
Copy.ai describes itself as "the first AI-native GTM platform". Instead of many separate AI copilots, it offers one platform where workflows chain together research, writing and actions in your other tools. The use cases on its homepage are mostly about revenue work: a prospecting cockpit that researches accounts and drafts outreach, inbound lead processing, account-based marketing, deal coaching from sales call transcripts, translation, and content creation for SEO, social and thought leadership.
- Workflows and agents: a workflow is a set of AI steps that codifies one process, for example "create account plan" or "write SEO article". Each run uses credits; the more steps, the more credits.
- Chat: one interface with models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini, a prompt library and folders. Copy.ai says your data is not used to train those models.
- Brand Voice and Infobase: Brand Voice analyses a 50 to 500 word sample of your writing and applies it in Chat and Workflows; Infobase stores company facts the AI can draw on.
- Tables and integrations: a data layer that pulls sources together, and what Copy.ai calls 2,000+ integrations.
New owner: on 15 October 2025 Fullcast announced it had acquired Copy.ai. Fullcast sells RevOps software for territory and quota planning, forecasting and commissions, and lists the product as "Fullcast Propel (powered by Copy.ai)". Copy.ai's website and plans still run under the Copy.ai name, while its help centre now lives on Fullcast's support site. Copy.ai says it has 17 million users.
What Copy.ai Costs
The Copy.ai pricing page opens on the Self-Serve tab with monthly billing:
- Chat, $29 a month billed monthly: 5 seats, unlimited words in Chat, unlimited chat projects, and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models. An annual option is marked as a 20% saving.
- Enterprise: a custom demo, guided implementation, API access, bulk workflow runs, unlimited customizable workflows and a dedicated support team, with workflow credits scoped with the sales team.
- No free plan: the old "forever free" plan is gone. Copy.ai's help centre says there is no longer a free plan and new users need to buy a plan. There is a 5-day money-back guarantee from your first purchase, and Copy.ai still offers free AI writing generators (taglines, product descriptions, email subject lines) on its website.

Marketing Content Agents vs GTM Workflows: What the Difference Means
- Who it serves: Jasper is built for the people who write and approve marketing content. Copy.ai is built for go-to-market teams, where sales, marketing and RevOps share the same workflows.
- Long-form content: Jasper's Canvas, content agents and brand layer are the stronger fit for articles, landing pages and campaigns. Copy.ai can write content in Chat or through a content workflow, but its homepage leads with pipeline and outreach.
- Sales work: Copy.ai researches accounts, drafts personalised outreach and enriches leads. Jasper does not aim at this.
- Team price: Copy.ai's $29 Chat plan covers 5 seats; Jasper Pro covers 1 seat, so a team of three needs Jasper Business.
- Automation: both sell their deepest automation (Jasper's custom agents and Grid, Copy.ai's workflows at volume) through sales, on contracts sized for larger companies.
What Changed Since the Earlier Version of This Article
- Copy.ai's free plan is gone. The old article recommended its "forever free plan"; Copy.ai's help centre now says the free plan was sunset.
- Copy.ai changed owner and focus. It moved from short-form copy templates to GTM workflows, and Fullcast acquired it in October 2025.
- Jasper changed its plans. The entry plan is now Pro for one seat, team features sit in Business, and agents, brand context and GEO tools replaced the old template-first product.
- Removed: links to third-party review blogs and vague claims about price and quality. Every fact above comes from the two companies' own pages.
Which One Should You Choose?
- You are a solo founder who writes the blog, newsletter and launch pages yourself: Jasper Pro. Use the 7-day trial on a real piece of work before you pay.
- You are a B2B startup with two to five people doing outreach: Copy.ai Chat at $29 a month for 5 seats, with Brand Voice and Infobase set up first.
- You need content in one brand voice across a growing marketing team: Jasper Business, once more than one person writes.
- You want automated prospecting and lead follow-up tied to your CRM: Copy.ai's workflows through its enterprise plans, especially if you already plan territories in Fullcast.
- You have no budget: neither has a free plan. Start with open-source models or Copy.ai's free single-purpose generators, and add a paid platform when content or outreach is a proven channel.
How Founders Use AI Writing Platforms Without Wasting Money
- Name the one job. Content marketing points to Jasper, sales outreach to Copy.ai. If you cannot name the job, validate your startup idea first.
- Write your voice down. Both tools learn a brand voice from samples of your writing. Collect your best 50 to 500 words before the trial starts.
- Run a short test. Jasper gives 7 days on Pro; Copy.ai gives a 5-day refund window. Plan the test so you finish inside it.
- Same brief, both drafts. Judge how much editing each draft needs, not how many words it produces.
- Pay monthly first. Yearly plans save about 20% but lock you in for 12 months.
