Space tech founders sell to a small world of agencies, primes, defence buyers and specialist investors, and most of them meet at a handful of events. These are the ten best space tech events of 2027 for startups, from Brussels, London, Munich, Paris, Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Poznań to Washington, DC and Anaheim.

The European Space Conference is where EU space policy is discussed in public each year. It is not a startup event, but it is the place to understand where EU space budgets, procurement and rules are heading, which shapes the grants and tenders a European space startup can win.

SATShow is the satellite industry's big US meeting. Its Startup Space contest, now in its 11th year, picks ten finalists who pitch live in the Unveiled Theater on 9 March 2027 to a panel of investors and executives, for a prize package that includes investor meetings. It is the strongest dedicated pitch stage for satellite startups on this list.

Why space tech events matter: the numbers

Start-up space companies raised $10.9 billion worldwide in 2025, the highest level since 2021, driven by $8.6 billion from venture capital, according to BryceTech.
European space ventures attracted €1.4 billion in private investment in 2025, 8% less than a year earlier, but venture capital rose 13% to €1.2 billion, according to Payload.
Only 13% of founders in the UK space sector are women, according to the UK Space Agency.

How to choose a space tech event

Start from your customer. Defence and government buyers go to Space-Comm Expo, satellite operators to SATShow and SmallSat Europe, and suppliers to Space Tech Expo USA and Paris Space Week.
Pitch where the jury buys. Startup Space at SATShow (9 March 2027) and the PSW Challenge in Paris (apply by 31 January 2027) put you in front of investors and industry.
Book meetings before you travel. SmallSat Europe and Space Tech Expo USA have free matchmaking platforms, and Paris Space Week is built around pre-booked meetings.
Follow the policy. The European Space Conference in January shows where EU space money is going before the tenders open.
Go to IAC once. In 2027 the world's largest space congress is in Poznań, a short trip for most European founders.
