AnswerThePublic vs Keyword Revealer: Question Research or Keyword Difficulty for Your Content Ideas in 2027?
AnswerThePublic and Keyword Revealer are both used to find content ideas, but they answer different questions. AnswerThePublic shows what people ask about a topic: it collects search suggestions from Google, YouTube, Amazon, ChatGPT and other sources and groups them into questions and phrases you can turn into articles and FAQs. Keyword Revealer tells you which keywords you can actually win: it scores keyword difficulty, shows search volume and cost per click, tracks rankings and, since its relaunch, checks whether Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT cite your site. We checked both tools on their official pages on 2 November 2026.
Quick answer: if you need ideas for blog posts, FAQ pages and social content written in your customers' own words, start with AnswerThePublic: a free account gives 3 searches a day, and Starter costs €160 a year at the regular price. If you already have ideas and need to know which ones a young site can rank for, choose Keyword Revealer: its Free plan needs no credit card, and Basic costs $12.50 a month billed annually with difficulty scores and rank tracking. Used together, they cover the whole path from question to published page.

AnswerThePublic vs Keyword Revealer at a Glance
Sources: answerthepublic.com (home, SEO and pricing pages) and keywordrevealer.com (home, pricing section and FAQ), checked 2 November 2026. AnswerThePublic showed euros to our European visitor; Keyword Revealer shows US dollars.
The Two Tools in 2027
AnswerThePublic: the questions your audience types
AnswerThePublic is now run by NP Digital, the marketing agency co-founded by Neil Patel, which also makes Ubersuggest. You type a topic or a website address, and it returns the suggestions people see when they search: questions and related phrases, laid out as a wheel you can explore, prune and, on paid plans, export to a spreadsheet. The homepage says it covers Google, YouTube, Amazon, ChatGPT and more, so you see the words your customers use in search engines, shops and AI assistants.
AnswerThePublic calls this search listening: instead of guessing what to write, you collect the questions people already ask and track how they change. Paid plans add:
- Search listening alerts: weekly email digests with new questions around a topic (1, 5 or 20 alerts, depending on plan).
- Search volume and CPC: estimates for each suggestion, from what it calls multiple data providers.
- Compare data over time: see how questions on a topic change from one snapshot to the next.
- AI search results: prompt suggestions and sample AI responses with sentiment, so you see what people ask AI assistants about your topic.
- Content Studio: AI drafts of articles from the questions you pick, with a content schedule, a plagiarism score and publishing to WordPress.
What it does not do: AnswerThePublic does not give a keyword difficulty score or track your rankings, so it cannot tell you which of those questions a new website can win.
What AnswerThePublic costs
The AnswerThePublic pricing page opens on yearly billing and showed euros to our European visitor. When we checked, a limited-time offer (50% off compared with monthly billing) was already applied, and the page said it would end on 8 November 2026. Regular yearly prices are shown crossed out next to the offer, so we list both:
- Free account, €0: 3 searches a day, more keyword data than without an account and a history of your searches, with no credit card needed.
- Starter, €160 a year (offer: €120, or €10 a month): 1 user, 100 searches a month, CPC and search volume, 1 search listening alert, 1 keyword list, 1,000 AI prompt suggestions and up to 6 AI articles a month. By our calculation the regular price is about €13.33 a month.
- Growth, €792 a year (offer: €594, or €49.50 a month): up to 3 users, 200 searches a month, 5 alerts, unlimited keyword lists and up to 35 AI articles a month.
- Business, €1,592 a year (offer: €1,194, or €99.50 a month): up to 10 users, 300 searches a month, 20 alerts and up to 80 AI articles a month.
- Trial and refunds: its FAQ offers a one-time 7-day free trial for monthly subscriptions and says all other purchases are final and non-refundable. Monthly prices sit behind a toggle, so we leave them out.

Keyword Revealer: which keywords you can win
Keyword Revealer is still running, but it has changed. It was known as a keyword research tool with a difficulty score for low-competition keywords and a Keyword Tree that shows ideas as branches you open one by one. It now calls itself an "AEO and GEO intelligence platform": the homepage leads with checks on whether Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT cite your site, and the keyword, rank tracking and backlink tools sit underneath. Keyword Revealer says it has more than 300,000 users and a database of 3.1 billion keywords.
- Keyword research: monthly search volume, CPC and its own keyword difficulty (KD) score, plus the interactive Keyword Tree for grouping ideas into topics. Its keyword research tool also searches by competitor domain.
- Rank tracker and backlinks: daily position tracking with drop alerts, and backlink reports with Citation Flow and Trust Flow.
- AI search tools: an AI Overview Simulator with a 0 to 100 AI Visibility Score, a citation monitor for Google AI, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and an AEO Page Generator that turns keyword clusters into pages with FAQ schema.
- Free use: the AI search simulation runs without signup (6 searches a day), and the Free plan needs no credit card.
What Keyword Revealer costs
The pricing section on the Keyword Revealer homepage opens on annual billing ("save 40%") in US dollars:
- Free, $0: 50 keyword suggestions per search, 7 keyword evaluations a day, basic metrics, 3 AI visibility audits a day and 1 monitored citation keyword.
- Basic, $12.50 a month ($150 a year): 50 search credits a day, 100 keyword evaluations a day, 25 tracked keywords, 1,000 backlink rows a day and 25 AI prompt audits a day.
- Pro, $17.97 a month ($216 a year): 300 search credits and 2,000 backlink rows a day, 150 tracked keywords, 150 AI prompt audits a day across Google AI, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and the AEO Page Generator (3 pages a day). A banner offers the first month of Pro for $1, then $27.97 a month.
- Elite, $49 a month ($588 a year), and Agency, $41.58 a month ($499 a year): 400 to 500 tracked keywords and 800 search credits a day; Agency covers 5 client domains with white-label reports. Separate AI visibility plans cost $79 to $399 a month billed annually.
- Refunds: the pricing FAQ promises a full refund within 7 days of signing up and cancellation any time. Its older terms page (last updated October 2021) says fees are non-refundable, so confirm with support before you pay for a year.

Questions vs Difficulty: What the Difference Means for a Startup
- Where ideas come from: AnswerThePublic is stronger at finding ideas, because it shows full questions in your customers' words across search, shopping and AI. Keyword Revealer gives 50 suggestions per search on the Free plan and a Keyword Tree, but it is built to judge keywords more than to find them.
- Whether you can rank: only Keyword Revealer shows keyword difficulty. A new site should start with questions that have low difficulty, and AnswerThePublic alone cannot show which ones those are.
- Search allowance: AnswerThePublic Starter includes 100 searches a month; Keyword Revealer Basic gives 50 search credits a day. For a founder who checks keywords every day, Keyword Revealer goes further on the cheapest plan.
- Price: Keyword Revealer Basic costs $150 a year; AnswerThePublic Starter costs €160 a year at the regular price. Both have a free option to test first.
- After you publish: Keyword Revealer tracks your rankings and AI citations. AnswerThePublic watches the topic instead and emails you new questions people start asking.
- AI writing: AnswerThePublic's Content Studio drafts articles from the questions; Keyword Revealer's AEO Page Generator (Pro and up) builds pages from keyword clusters.
What Changed Since the Earlier Version of This Article
- Keyword Revealer relaunched: it now presents itself as an AI search (AEO and GEO) platform. The keyword difficulty, Keyword Tree, rank tracking and backlink tools are still there, now next to AI citation checks.
- New AnswerThePublic prices: the 2026 version said AnswerThePublic starts at $11 a month. The pricing page now shows yearly plans in euros from €160 a year at the regular price, with a limited-time offer of €120.
- Sources: the old text said AnswerThePublic integrates with TikTok. Its homepage now names Google, YouTube, Amazon and ChatGPT "and more", so we list only those.
- "Profitability" metric: the old text said Keyword Revealer shows potential profitability. We found no such metric on its site; it shows search volume, CPC and difficulty.
- Links: the old post linked to third-party blogs for its claims; this version links the official pages.
