Accelerators for Female Entrepreneurs in Europe (2027): 12 Programmes for Women Founders Checked on Cost, Equity and Next Intake

Accelerators for Female Entrepreneurs in Europe: 12 Programmes Checked on Cost, Equity, Location and Next Intake

Europe has more support for women founders than ever, but the lists that rank it were mostly copied from each other in 2024 and 2025, and many of the programmes on them have closed, been renamed or stopped running women-only cohorts. We checked accelerators, pre-accelerators and EU schemes for women founders in Europe on their own websites on 3 November 2026 and kept only the ones that still run. For each one you get the four things that decide whether it is worth applying: what kind of programme it is, what it costs in fees or equity, where you need to be, and when the next intake opens. For programmes outside Europe, see our worldwide guide to accelerators for female entrepreneurs.
Quick answer: the best-known women founder accelerator in the UK is the Barclays Eagle Labs Female Founder Accelerator, run with AccelerateHER (nine weeks, 100 founders). In Germany, the Grace Berlin Accelerator pays a €2,500 monthly stipend for eight months and takes no equity, which makes it the strongest pre-accelerator for idea-stage women in Berlin. Across the EU, look at EIT Supernovas Rocket Up (fully funded, 2027 call set to open on 17 November 2026), SCALE'HER for women-led deep tech, and Women TechEU (€75,000 equity-free, weekly cut-offs until July 2027). In Ireland, Going for Growth set its application deadline for 27 November 2026; in Switzerland, FF+ is free.

The 12 Programmes for Women Founders in Europe in 2027

The list starts with classic accelerators and pre-accelerators, then fundraising programmes, then EU schemes that give equity-free money with support. Each entry links the programme's own page.

1. Barclays Eagle Labs Female Founder Accelerator and AccelerateHER (UK)

The Barclays Eagle Labs Female Founder Accelerator is designed by Barclays Eagle Labs and AccelerateHER for 100 female founders of UK tech and innovation businesses that are beyond the idea stage and ready to grow. Over nine weeks you get masterclasses on marketing, sales and negotiation, financial management and building a team, plus one-to-one mentoring, accountability groups and in-person meet-ups. Near the end, you can ask for a session with an experienced female founder or investor from the AccelerateHER network. Next intake: the 2026 round took applications from 1 May to 12 June 2026, launched on 11 September 2026 and was set to end on 6 November 2026, with meet-ups on 6 and 13 October and a closing event listed for 24 November 2026. Watch the page for the next round.
If you searched for "Accelerate Her": AccelerateHER is the Edinburgh-based network behind the Barclays programme. Besides the accelerator, it runs a Women to Women (W2W) programme that connects founders with female investors, a Ready to Raise programme, one-to-one, group and angel investor mentoring, and events such as its Female Founder Showcase in Aberdeen. Best for: UK founders, especially in Scotland, who want structured growth support and investor contacts rather than cash.

2. Grace Berlin Accelerator (Germany)

The Grace Berlin Accelerator is a full-time, eight-month programme for women founders and mixed teams in Berlin, with a focus on market and investment readiness: from prototype to MVP and on to the right funding. It pays participants a monthly stipend of €2,500 gross and takes no equity, because it is funded by the European Social Fund Plus and the State of Berlin. You need a concrete idea, prototype or MVP, must be able to take part full-time, and your startup should not yet generate revenue; founders who already received the GründungsBONUS, EXIST or the Berliner Startup Stipendium cannot join. Next intake: applications for the current cohort ran from 24 August to 22 September 2026; it started on 1 November 2026 and ends on 30 June 2027. Grace's homepage is also taking applications for the Winter / Spring 2027 cohort of its new Flämingo countryside hub and accelerator. Best for: idea-stage women in Berlin who need a paid runway to work on their startup full-time; this is the closest thing on the list to a classic pre-accelerator.

3. FF+ Acceleration Program (Zurich, Switzerland)

The FF+ Acceleration Program is organised by the Female Founders Initiative with Founders Hive for teams based in Switzerland that were incorporated in the last three years, ideally with at least two co-founders, one of them female, and a science-based or impact focus. The ten weeks run in English as a hybrid of online sessions and workshops in Zurich, ending with a demo day. It is free, but a CHF 3,000 expense allowance can be charged if a team drops out early or misses demo day. Next intake: the Fall 2026 call closed on 1 October 2026; the next round has not been announced. Best for: Swiss deep tech and impact teams preparing a first round.

4. Female Founders Bootcamp (Europe-wide)

Female Founders, which calls itself Europe's leading platform for women in business, capital, tech and innovation, runs the Female Founders Bootcamp: a four-week hybrid accelerator with one online session a day (office hours, AMAs and more than 20 expert sessions) plus a one-day in-person summit. It is for early-stage female-led tech startups from pre-seed to Series A across Europe and costs €500 excluding VAT, with a €100 fee for each extra founder; both are non-refundable. The current cohort's summit was set for 10 November 2026 in Berlin. Next intake: the page invites applications for the next cohort but publishes no dates. Best for: early-stage founders who want a short, affordable programme and a European network.

5. EIT Supernovas Rocket Up (EU)

Rocket Up is the startup programme of EIT Community Supernovas, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology initiative for women in entrepreneurship and investment, led by EIT Urban Mobility, EIT Food and 28DIGITAL. It helps women-led startups enter a new European market: market selection, local validation, a go-to-market plan, coaching and investor visibility, for at most 10 startups, about four to five hours a week from April to November with an August break. It starts with an in-person kick-off in Barcelona and ends with a demo day at Slush 2027 in Helsinki, with a Slush ticket included. It is fully funded by the EU, but travel and accommodation are not covered and a penalty fee applies if you do not meet the completion rules. To apply you need a woman founder or CEO, at least five full-time-equivalent team members, a company incorporated after 31 December 2017 and registered in the EU, a fit with an EIT area (urban mobility, food, climate, digital, culture and creativity, water or energy) and at least €100k revenue in 2026 or strong revenue traction. Next intake: the 2027 call was set to open on 17 November 2026 and closes on 22 January 2027 at 15:00 CET; selected startups are told on 26 March 2027. Best for: revenue-stage women-led startups ready for a second EU market.

6. SCALE'HER (EU, women-led deep tech)

SCALE'HER is a Horizon Europe-funded accelerator for women-led deep tech startups run by a consortium from ten countries. It selects 60 startups for a six-month acceleration phase with monthly cluster workshops and full-cohort sessions, followed by a three-month mentoring phase and a blind pitch competition. It is free and takes no equity. According to its application guidelines, a woman founder must hold at least 25% of the shares and the company must be established in an EU member state or a Horizon Europe associated country. Next intake: the 2026 call ran from 17 March to 31 May 2026; the cohort started in September 2026, mentoring begins in March 2027 and the programme ends in May 2027. A further call has not been announced. Best for: deep tech founders with a product past the lab stage.

7. Going for Growth (Ireland)

Going for Growth supports women in the Republic of Ireland who own and run a business that has traded for at least two years and want to grow it. Instead of consultants, it uses small peer roundtables led by experienced entrepreneurs, and it is funded by Enterprise Ireland, KPMG and Manverton. Applicants should work full-time in the business and hold a major shareholding; recently started innovative companies with export plans and some sales or equity raised may be considered case by case. The site does not state a fee. Next intake: the call opened with an application deadline set for 27 November 2026; the next cycle, including Starting Strong, runs from January to June 2027. Best for: established Irish women-owned SMEs, not only tech startups.

8. Hive Founders Investment Readiness Accelerator (online, London)

Hive Founders teaches women founders how to get funded. Its Investment Readiness Accelerator is an intensive eight weeks of live and on-demand expert sessions, one-to-one mentoring, pitch deck and script work and a demo day for pre-seed and seed founders, and Cohort 14 runs with Warwick Business School. It takes no equity but is not free: businesses outside the US pay £1,000 + VAT on joining and 3% of what they raise after the round closes. For concept-stage founders it points to its separate Zero to Launch programme. Next intake: the page says Cohort 14 kicks off in October and runs to late November or early December. Best for: founders who will raise from angels or VCs in the next few months.

9. Female Founders Rise Fundraising Accelerator (UK)

The Female Founders Rise Fundraising Accelerator is an eight-week online programme for female and non-binary founders of UK-registered businesses that are raising investment, with Friday sessions from 11:00 to 13:00 on funding types, pitch decks, pitch practice, pitching to investors and investor outreach. Graduates join the Raise Circle alumni group with investor office hours. Next intake: waitlist; the fee is not published. Best for: UK founders about to open an angel round.

10. FemTech Lab Fundraising Sprint (online)

FemTech Lab is built around the women's health sector rather than the founder's gender. Its Fundraising Sprint is a four-week online cohort for founders raising capital in women's health, and a weekly "Meet the Investor" series introduces VCs and angels who back the sector. Next intake: the November Sprint is fully booked and the January Sprint is listed as opening soon; the fee is not published. Best for: femtech founders who need investor introductions.

11. Women TechEU (EU grant with coaching)

Women TechEU is an EU scheme for early-stage deep tech startups led by women. Its third edition (2026-2028) supports another 160 startups with €75,000 each in non-dilutive funding plus a business development programme with one-to-one mentoring, training and matchmaking with investors and corporates, according to the European Innovation Council's announcement of 12 June 2026. Applications start with an eligibility check, with cut-offs every Tuesday at 17:00 Brussels time from 30 June 2026 until 13 July 2027, followed by a full proposal. Best for: women CEOs or CTOs of European deep tech startups. Read our full guide to Women TechEU.

12. European Prize for Women Innovators (EU prize)

The European Prize for Women Innovators is a prize, not an accelerator, but it is the largest equity-free award for women founders in Europe. Categories: EIC Women Innovators (€100,000, €70,000 and €50,000), EIC Rising Innovators (€50,000, €30,000 and €20,000) and the EIT Women Leadership Award (€50,000, €30,000 and €20,000). Deadline: the call is open from 2 September until 1 December 2026, 17:00 CET, with the award ceremony planned for June 2027. Best for: founders whose innovation is already on the market.

Programmes From the 2025 Lists That Closed or Changed

The 2025 versions of this article (top 10, top 15, top 20 and top 25 lists, now merged here) relied on directory sites and AI search links. Here is what the official sites show now:
  • Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders (Europe and Israel): its Europe page now redirects to Google's general accelerator page, which lists regional accelerators but no women founders track.
  • Womenture pre-accelerator: an EU-funded project run by Design Terminal, DEX Innovation Centre, Tehnopol and SpinLab. Its site shows the last Pre-Acceleration Programme running from January to March 2024 and no newer call.
  • Female Founders GROW F: no longer on the Female Founders site; its current programmes are the Bootcamp (above), the Female Founders Experience and a paid membership.
  • Women Startup Competition: now a global competition open to women-led startups anywhere, with a €45 registration fee, rather than a European incubation programme.
  • Left out because we could not confirm a current programme on an official page, or it is not women-specific: WILLA in Paris (its official site did not load for us), Impact Shakers, Step FWD, DigitalHealth.London, Hatch and UBS, Female Founders First, The Accelerator Network, Startupbootcamp Women in Tech, "EIT Women", SheEO, Cocoon Network Europe, Empowomen, EIT Food's women in agrifood programme, Orange Fab Women Start, WE Innovate, EEN2EIC, Startup Wise Guys Women in Tech, F-Factor, FemGems Club, Techstars for women and the Female Founders' Academy.

Which Programme Should You Choose?

  • You have an idea and need time and money to work on it: the Grace Berlin Accelerator (stipend, no equity) if you are in Berlin; otherwise the Female Founders Bootcamp for a short start.
  • You run a UK tech business beyond the idea stage: Barclays Eagle Labs with AccelerateHER, then Female Founders Rise or Hive Founders when you raise.
  • You are about to raise: Hive Founders, Female Founders Rise or FemTech Lab, then line up angel investors in Europe and early-stage VCs in Europe.
  • You build deep tech: Women TechEU and SCALE'HER, plus the mixed-gender options in our deep tech accelerators in Europe and deep tech incubators in Europe.
  • You already have revenue and want a second EU market: EIT Supernovas Rocket Up.
  • You own an established business in Ireland: Going for Growth.
  • You are in Switzerland: FF+ in Zurich.
  • You want equity-free money: Women TechEU, the European Prize for Women Innovators and our grants for female entrepreneurs in Europe.
  • You build with AI or in education: compare our AI accelerators in Europe and edtech accelerators in Europe; mixed-gender programmes are often larger.

How Women Founders in Europe Use Accelerators, and What to Do Around Them

An accelerator is one step, not a plan. Almost every programme above asks about traction, so first show that customers want your product: run our 30-day validation sprint or validate your startup idea with our content-driven service. If you are earlier than that, Fe/male Switch, the startup game and online incubator for women that publishes this blog, lets you learn in its Skill Lab, build your startup step by step and, if you want, relocate it to the Netherlands. Choose your base with our guides to the best countries for female entrepreneurs and the best countries for startups in Europe, and compare accelerators with startup incubators in Europe, which usually last longer and ask for less traction. Know the numbers investors will quote: our female founder funding statistics and research on EU funding for female entrepreneurs show where the money goes.
