Nashik Startups to Watch in 2027: Verified EV, Cloud, Agri Drone and Organic Food Companies, Incubators and Where Founders Get Support

Nashik, in northern Maharashtra, is known for grapes, wine, engineering factories in the MIDC Satpur and Ambad industrial areas and the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. It is a small startup ecosystem next to Mumbai and Pune, and most of its young companies sell to farmers, factories and small businesses rather than to venture investors. The 2026 version of this article listed ten Nashik startups. When we checked them, four could not be found anywhere, three are based in other cities and one no longer has a working website. For this 2027 edition we started again. In November 2026 we checked each company on its own website or in its stock exchange filings to confirm that it exists, that it is based in Nashik and that it is still active. We did not pad the list. What happened to the old names is explained near the end.
Quick answer: the Nashik startups and companies to watch in 2027 are Revamp Moto (modular electric two-wheelers for small businesses), FlyLab Solutions (agricultural drone services) and Urjafarms (a B2B marketplace for certified organic produce), plus two older Nashik companies that shape the scene: ESDS Software Solution, the cloud and data centre company that started in Nashik in 2005 and listed on the stock exchanges in 2026, and the farmer-owned Sahyadri Farms. For help, start with Sandip TBI, the Nashik Engineering Cluster and the Maharashtra State Innovation Society.

Why Nashik Matters for Founders in 2027

Three things shape startups in Nashik. The first is agriculture: Nashik district grows grapes, onions and other fruit and vegetables, so farm technology, drones, food processing and export platforms find customers close by. The second is manufacturing: the MIDC industrial areas around the city host engineering and automotive suppliers, and both Revamp Moto and ESDS have their addresses in the NICE area of MIDC Satpur. The third is the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, held in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar once every 12 years. According to a PTI report published by The Week, the Maharashtra government scheduled the flag hoisting that opens the Mela for 31 October 2026 and the main bathing days for 2 August, 31 August and 11 September 2027, with the Mela closing on 24 July 2028. Millions of visitors create a real test ground for crowd management, transport, sanitation and payments startups.
Nashik is a small ecosystem, like the ones in our guides to Ulaanbaatar startups and Kabul startups. Compare it with larger Asian hubs in our lists of Bangkok startups to watch, Fukuoka startups to watch and China startups to watch.

Nashik startups and companies to watch in 2027: what is confirmed

The Nashik Startups and Companies to Watch in 2027

1. Revamp Moto: modular electric two-wheelers for micro-businesses

Revamp Moto builds low-speed electric two-wheelers that small business owners can turn into a delivery bike or a shop on wheels with modular attachments. Its website gives its headquarters in the NICE area of MIDC Satpur, Nashik, and names three founders: Pritesh Mahajan, Jayesh Tope and Pushkaraj Salunke. The team says it pivoted in May 2020 to what it calls the modular multi-utility segment. The RM Buddie 25 is listed from ₹69,999, or from ₹2,200 a month on finance, with a 1.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, a 70 km range and a 25 km/h top speed, so riders need no licence or registration. The RM Yaara 25 is listed from ₹72,999 with a 2.1 kWh battery and a 100 km range, and there is a mid-speed RM Mitra 02. The company says it offers six attachments for more than 30 uses and service in more than 19,000 pin codes, and its stated mission is to impact one million lives by 2028. It does not publish funding figures, and the newest content on its website dates from 2024, so check the current models with the company before you buy or partner.
Lesson for founders: Revamp Moto sells income, not transport: its pitch is that a street vendor or delivery worker can earn more with an electric bike than with a petrol scooter. Products for micro-entrepreneurs sell best when the buyer can see the payback.
Best for: founders in electric mobility, last-mile delivery and products for small businesses.

2. FlyLab Solutions: drone spraying for farmers

FlyLab Solutions is a Nashik agricultural drone company. Its website describes three platforms for farmers, drone pilots and agri-businesses: DroneDekho, where farmers book on-demand drone spraying of pesticides, fertilisers and seeds from verified drone service providers, plus DroneSeekho and DroneDukaan. The company says it works with farmers, drone pilots, manufacturers, remote pilot training organisations, agri-input companies, fertiliser dealers and farmer producer organisations, and it reports more than 6,000 acres sprayed, a community of more than 3,000 farmers and more than 7,000 cumulative drone flying hours. Sandip TBI in Nashik lists DroneDekho, a drones-as-a-service platform, among its incubated startups. FlyLab does not publish funding figures.
Lesson for founders: FlyLab does not need to sell drones to farmers. It sells a service by the acre and connects the farmer, the pilot and the input dealer, which lowers the price of trying a new technology.
Best for: founders in agritech, drones and rural services.

3. Urjafarms: a B2B marketplace for certified organic produce

Urjafarms, run by Trace Ostock Global Private Limited from an office in Indira Nagar, Nashik, calls itself India's first B2B marketplace for certified organic fruits. Buyers use it to procure certified organic fruit from Maharashtra, and the company also trades pulses, spices, grains, vegetables, processed food and superfoods part time. It finds organic farmers and traders, checks certification needs, handles on-ground sourcing and arranges deliveries across India, and it promises farmers free promotion and a payment guarantee in return for quality. Sandip TBI lists Urjafarms among its incubated startups. The company does not publish funding figures.
Lesson for founders: Urjafarms turns a local strength, organic fruit from Nashik and the rest of Maharashtra, into a trusted supply for buyers far away. Verification and traceability are the product.
Best for: founders in food supply chains, organic farming and B2B marketplaces.

4. ESDS Software Solution: the Nashik startup that went public

ESDS Software Solution is no longer a startup, but it is Nashik's best-known tech success. Its About page says a 23-year-old started the company in Nashik in 2005 with ₹35,000, and its stock exchange filings give its registered office in the Satpur MIDC area of Nashik. Today it sells cloud, data centre, colocation, managed services and AI infrastructure to governments, banks and enterprises. It runs five Tier-III data centres in Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Mohali and Noida, opened its first data centre in Nashik in 2008 and launched an AI Incubation Center at Nashik in 2024. The company reports revenue of ₹361 crore for FY 2025 and more than 1,100 employees and 1,300 clients. Its investor relations page shows an initial public offering with a prospectus dated 1 September 2026; the shares now trade on the BSE (code 544898) and the NSE (symbol ESDS). On 2 November 2026 it reported second-quarter revenue from operations of ₹1,383.4 million for the 2027 financial year, up 48% year on year.
Lesson for founders: ESDS shows that a company can grow from a tier-2 city to a listed business without moving to Mumbai or Bengaluru. Owning infrastructure close to home, here its own data centre, gave it lower costs and a story about Indian-owned data.
Best for: founders in cloud, cybersecurity, data infrastructure and B2B software for regulated sectors.

5. Sahyadri Farms: a farmer-owned company and agri incubator

Sahyadri Farms describes itself as a company of the farmers, by the farmers and for the farmers, and as India's largest integrated platform for fruits and vegetables. Its registered office and factory are at Mohadi in the Dindori taluka of Nashik district. It works in partnership with small farmers on primary processing, frozen and aseptic products, jams, tomato ketchup and fruit beverages, and processes fruit and vegetable waste in a zero discharge facility; it also runs a skill development centre and fellowships. It is not a young startup, but the Maharashtra State Innovation Society lists the Sahyadri Farms Agri Incubation Centre in Nashik among the incubators it supports, which makes it a door for agritech founders.
Lesson for founders: a farmer-owned company with processing plants is both a customer and a test field. Agritech startups that solve a problem for Sahyadri's farmers can prove their product at scale.
Best for: founders in agritech, food processing and farm supply chains.

Where Nashik Startups Get Support

Sandip TBI is the technology business incubator on the Sandip Foundation campus on Trimbak Road, Nashik. It is a not-for-profit entity supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Its website reports more than 65 startups incubated and more than 8 startups funded under MeitY's TIDE 2.0 scheme. It is a recognised incubator for the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, through which startups can apply for grants for proof of concept and convertible debentures for market entry, and its TIDE 2.0 Entrepreneur-in-Residence fellowship gives up to ₹4 lakh for 12 months when a call is open. Its incubatees include DroneDekho, Urjafarms and Wiko India, a Nashik platform that connects agricultural exporters with verified suppliers.

  • Nashik Engineering Cluster (NEC): a not-for-profit company set up under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme with the Nasik Industrial Co-operative Estate and the Nashik Municipal Corporation. It offers CAD/CAM training, rapid prototyping, CNC machining, testing labs and an incubation centre, n-InC. Its DeepTech Bharat Hackathon 2026 received 975 applications from across India.
  • Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS): the state's nodal agency for innovation-driven entrepreneurship. It runs Hirkani Maharashtrachi, which gives mentoring and financial support to women entrepreneurs in self-help groups, district business plan competitions and a state-wide network of incubators. In Nashik its list of supported incubators includes the Kumbhathon Innovation Foundation, MUHS Nashik (health) and the Sahyadri Farms Agri Incubation Centre.
  • Kumbhathon Innovation Foundation: a problem-first incubation programme where students, startups, mentors and government work on real city challenges and test solutions at the Kumbh and in urban systems. It says Kumbhathon 2015 led to Digital Impact Square, Nashik's first innovation centre, supported by the TCS Foundation. With the 2027 Kumbh under way, it is the most relevant door for founders in crowd, transport and city technology.
  • Startup India (DPIIT recognition): private limited companies, partnerships, LLPs and cooperative societies with turnover under ₹200 crore (₹300 crore for deep tech) can apply for recognition for up to 10 years after incorporation (20 years for deep tech). Recognised private limited companies and LLPs incorporated after 1 April 2016 can then apply for a three-year tax holiday under section 80-IAC. The Ministry charges no fee for recognition.
For founders who are just starting, a recognised incubator such as Sandip TBI or NEC is the easiest door: it gives access to the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, mentors and prototyping labs in the city.

Nashik Startups From the Old List That Could Not Be Verified

The 2026 version of this article listed ten startups, all linked to a StartupBlink page instead of their own websites. Here is what we found when we checked each one in November 2026:
  • Revamp Moto and ESDS Software Solution: real and based in Nashik, so they stay on the list. The old claims about ESDS partnering with 15+ countries and about Revamp Moto's funding round were not on their official pages and were removed.
  • Wint Wealth: a real fixed-income investment platform, but its website gives its registered office in Bengaluru.
  • FarmERP: a real farm management software company (Shivrai Technologies), but its website gives its address in Pune.
  • Vinculum Ventures: the e-commerce software company Vinculum gives its offices in Noida, not Nashik.
  • Timesaverz: the home services platform's website now shows only a default server page.
  • Innovative Filters India, Buenaventura Technologies, AgroZest and Ecoplast Nashik: we found no official website, registry entry or news report for a Nashik company with any of these names. All four were removed, together with their growth figures and awards.
We also checked newer names and left them out: Ultramotiv, a rehabilitation technology startup incubated at Sandip TBI, whose own website now gives a Pune address, and Small Spark Concepts, which the Maharashtra State Innovation Society lists as a Nashik winner of its 2022 Startup Week but whose website now gives a Pune address. We also removed the old article's unsourced claim of a 35% increase in venture capital funding in Nashik.

How Founders Use Nashik's Startup Scene

Notice where the money comes from: government schemes run through incubators, customers in farming and manufacturing, and, for ESDS, the stock market. Local venture capital is rare. Compare Nashik's incubators with the startup incubators in Asia on our list, and when you are ready for investors, read our guide to early-stage VCs in Asia.
Many investors and corporate buyers are in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Meet them at the must-attend startup events in Bangalore and the top agritech startup events. If you are still choosing where to build, compare cities in our guide to the best cities for early-stage startups.

FAQ About Nashik Startups to Watch in 2027

Which Nashik startups should I watch in 2027?

Our verified list: Revamp Moto (electric two-wheelers), FlyLab Solutions (agricultural drones) and Urjafarms (organic produce marketplace), plus two older Nashik companies that shape the scene, ESDS Software Solution and Sahyadri Farms. We checked each one in November 2026.

Why is this list so short?

Nashik has few venture-backed startups, and we only list companies whose own website or filings confirm that they exist, are based in Nashik and are active. Four names on the old list could not be found anywhere, and four are based in Bengaluru, Pune or Noida or no longer have a working website.

Is Nashik a good place to start a startup?

It suits founders who sell to farmers, food exporters, factories and small businesses, because those customers are nearby and costs are lower than in Mumbai or Pune. It is harder for consumer apps that need local venture capital.

Which incubators are in Nashik?

Sandip TBI on Trimbak Road, the Nashik Engineering Cluster's n-InC, the Kumbhathon Innovation Foundation, MUHS Nashik for health startups and the Sahyadri Farms Agri Incubation Centre. Sandip TBI is a recognised incubator for the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme and runs MeitY TIDE 2.0 programmes.

How do Nashik startups get government funding?

Most start with DPIIT recognition on the Startup India portal and then apply for the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme through a recognised incubator such as Sandip TBI. Sandip TBI also offers a TIDE 2.0 Entrepreneur-in-Residence fellowship of up to ₹4 lakh for 12 months when a call is open.

What does the 2027 Kumbh Mela mean for startups?

The Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar brings millions of visitors, which creates demand for crowd management, transport, sanitation, safety and payments technology. According to a PTI report, the main bathing days are 2 August, 31 August and 11 September 2027. Kumbhathon runs incubation around these city challenges.

Is ESDS still a startup?

No. ESDS was founded in Nashik in 2005 and is now listed on the BSE and NSE after an IPO with a prospectus dated 1 September 2026. We include it because it is the city's biggest tech success and runs an AI Incubation Center in Nashik.

What happened to the startups on the old list?

We kept Revamp Moto and ESDS. We removed Wint Wealth, FarmERP and Vinculum because they are based in Bengaluru, Pune and Noida, Timesaverz because its website no longer works, and Innovative Filters India, Buenaventura Technologies, AgroZest and Ecoplast Nashik because we found no trace of them.
