Why agritech events matter: the numbers
- Global agrifoodtech funding reached $16.2 billion in 2025, almost flat (−3%) on 2024, according to AgFunder.
- Upstream start-ups, the ones building technology for farms, food production and biological systems, raised $9 billion, up 7%, even as their deal count fell 12% (AgFunder). Investors are writing fewer, larger cheques for farm tech.
- Women founders started 34% of new agrifood startups in Europe, up from 17% a decade ago, according to an EIT Food and Dealroom report summarised by the EU Agri-Food Platform.

How to choose an agritech event
- Buyers or investors? FRUIT LOGISTICA, Agrishow, GreenTech and AGRITECHNICA put you in front of growers, dealers and machinery makers; World Agri-Tech, Animal AgTech and evokeAG. bring investors and corporate scouts.
- Use the start-up formats. FRUIT LOGISTICA's €995 Startup World package and AGRITECHNICA's Start-up Area cost far less than a normal stand, and World Agri-Tech and Animal AgTech have USD 1,000 start-up passes.
- Watch the deadlines. The Grüne Woche Startup Days close applications on 12 November 2026, and AGRITECHNICA stand booking opens on 16 November 2026.
- Follow the season. Farmers are busiest in spring and harvest; the winter fairs (January to March) are when they have time to talk.
- Pick your region. Brazil (Agrishow, World Agri-Tech South America), Australia (evokeAG.) and the US (World Agri-Tech, Animal AgTech) are big export markets for European agtech.
