Oslo's biggest founder week of 2027 is Oslo Innovation Week on 25–28 October, when Nordic investors fill the city. Before that, November 2026 is strong for health founders: EHiN, an AI and antibodies hackathon and the DNB Nordic Healthcare Conference. Women leaders meet for free at Power Ladies on 17 November.

Power Ladies: 17 November 2026
Leadership, capital and AI in uncertain times, with Snøhetta CEO Isabella Alveberg, Kiran Aziz of KLP and the AI researcher and founder Ishita Barua. The only dated women-focused evening we found in Oslo this season.
InLifeScience and the DNB Nordic Healthcare Conference: 19–24 November 2026
The 17th edition. In the Venture Track, health companies picked for the HIA investment programme pitch to Nordic healthcare investors. Both dates come from partner pages, not the organisers' own.
Also at Oslo Science Park: the International Conference on Digital Sovereignty on 25–27 November, a research and policy meeting useful for govtech and cloud founders.

The Norwegian AI Championship has 100 places at the final, held at Norges Bank Investment Management, and the rest compete online. The organisers say dates may change. A good place to spot AI talent.

Oslo Business Forum: 22–23 September 2027
Norway's largest leadership conference, with Oprah Winfrey confirmed. Better for meeting corporate decision-makers than investors.
Oslo Innovation Week: 25–28 October 2027
The week when Norwegian and international VCs are all in Oslo, run by the City of Oslo with Oslo&Co. The programme is usually published in the months before; past editions included the final of DNB NXT's 100 Pitches. See our founder networking events.

- Limited company (AS): you need NOK 30,000 in share capital. brreg.no
- Innovation Norway start-up grant 1: up to NOK 150,000 to test whether there is a paying market; rolling deadline, about 3–4 weeks to decide. innovasjonnorge.no
- SkatteFUNN: a tax deduction of 19% of R&D project costs; changes are proposed from 2027. forskningsradet.no
- Self-employed residence permit: for non-EU founders, the business must be your own sole proprietorship (not an AS) and expected to make at least NOK 341,373 a year before tax. udi.no
- Oslo&Co: Oslo Business Region became Oslo&Co on 1 March 2026; it runs Oslo Innovation Week and counts more than 3,500 startups and growth companies in Greater Oslo. osloandco.no
How to get the most out of Oslo startup events
- Pick your sector week. Health founders: EHiN and the DNB conference in November. Ocean tech: Nor-Shipping in June.
- Use the free events. Power Ladies, NM i AI, the Oslo Tech Show expo and many Oslo Innovation Week events cost nothing.
- Buy NDC tickets early. NDC Security's early bird ends on 20 November and NDC Oslo's first price on 18 December.
- Check the venue. NOVA Spektrum and X Meeting Point are in Lillestrøm and Skjetten, a short train ride from Oslo.
- Apply for the start-up grant before you go. Innovation Norway's grant has a rolling deadline, so you can have an answer within a month.
