Wincher vs Mangools: Which SEO Subscription Should a Startup Pay For?
Wincher and Mangools are two of the cheapest SEO tools a startup can buy, and both promise to be easy for people who are not SEO experts. They start from opposite ends, though. Wincher, from Stockholm, is built around a daily Google rank tracker and adds keyword research, on-page checks and reports around it. Mangools, from Bratislava, is a bundle of five keyword and SEO tools (KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler) and now includes AI Search Watcher, which tracks how ChatGPT and other AI engines mention your brand. If you can only pay for one subscription, the choice decides what you do every week: track and fix pages, or find new topics and check competitors. We checked both official pricing and product pages on 30 October 2026: plans, limits, free options, refunds and AI features, as each page shows them by default.
Quick answer: pick Mangools if your website is new and you mainly need to find keywords, check competitors and backlinks, and watch your brand in AI answers: Mangools Basic costs €37.70 a month on yearly billing and there is a free plan. Pick Wincher if you already have pages that rank and want to see 500 keywords move every day, with on-page and content tools included: Wincher Basic costs €49 a month on monthly billing, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. Mangools tracks rankings only weekly below its Agency plan, and Wincher has no AI search tracking.

Wincher and Mangools in 2027: What You Get for the Money
Wincher: a daily rank tracker that grew into a small SEO platform
Wincher calls itself a search visibility platform. Its core is still the rank tracker: every keyword is updated daily on every plan, with position history, competitors' positions, the page that ranks for each keyword, SERP features, estimated traffic, daily snapshots of the search results and notes on the timeline. You can track by location, language and device, import ranking history from your old tool, and Wincher keeps your data for 24 months. Around the tracker it added a Keyword Explorer, a keyword gap view, an On-Page SEO checker, SERP Benchmark against the top 10 and an AI Content Outliner. Wincher says more than 700,000 marketers and business owners use it; that is the company's own figure.
- Basic, €49 a month: from 500 keywords, up to 10 websites, 1 user, 5 tracked competitors per website and 50 related keywords per Keyword Explorer search. Rankings update daily; on-demand updates are not included.
- Standard, €89 a month: from 1,000 keywords, unlimited websites, multiple users, 10 competitors per website, on-demand updates, keyword gap, share of voice, position history import, API, Looker Studio, white-label reports and an onboarding call.
- Professional, €319 a month: from 5,000 keywords, 20 competitors per website, external users, project permissions and a key account manager. Every plan scales up to 50,000 keywords; above that Wincher gives a custom quote.
- On every plan: Keyword Explorer with unlimited daily lookups, AI keyword suggestions from a URL, On-Page SEO checker, SERP Benchmark, AI Content Outliner, PDF reports, Google Search Console and chat support.
- Local SEO: a Google Maps rank tracker with weekly updates and 25 credits on every plan; extra credits cost €10 per 500.
- Trial and refunds: a 7-day free trial without a credit card and a 7-day refund on the first purchase. Wincher has no public free plan, but its On-Page SEO Checker and SERP Volatility tools are free. Prices are the monthly billing shown by default on Wincher's pricing page; yearly billing is also offered.
Who is behind it: a small team in Stockholm, Sweden, led by founder and CEO Kim Ängalid, according to Wincher's about page. Best for: startups and small businesses that already get some search traffic and want to know every morning which pages moved, with simple reports for a team or clients.

Mangools: five research tools and an AI visibility tracker in one bundle
Mangools started in August 2014, when founder Peter Hrbáčik launched the first version of KWFinder, and grew into a bundle run from Bratislava, Slovakia, according to its about page. The tools are sold only together: the Mangools FAQ explains that KWFinder's difficulty score is built on SERPChecker data, so the tools do not work alone. Mangools says it has been used by more than 2.8 million SEO pros, agencies and business owners since 2014; that is its own figure.
- KWFinder: keyword research by keyword or by competitor domain, with exact search volumes and trends, search intent and a keyword difficulty score, in more than 65,000 locations. The free plan gives 5 lookups per 24 hours with 15 related and 5 competitor keywords each.
- SERPChecker: shows who ranks for a keyword with 45+ metrics from Mangools, Moz and Majestic, in mobile or desktop results.
- SERPWatcher: the rank tracker, with a Performance Index, email alerts, 65,000+ locations, desktop and mobile results and reports you can share by link. Updates are weekly, daily only on Agency.
- LinkMiner and SiteProfiler: backlink research based on Majestic's fresh and historic index, with Citation Flow and Trust Flow, and a domain overview with Moz and Majestic authority metrics.
- AI Search Watcher: tracks how ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral and Llama mention your brand, checks every prompt twice and compares you with competitors. The PRO version with 500 prompts is included in every plan; on its own it costs €34.90 a month on yearly billing, and a free version covers 5 prompts.
- Basic, €37.70 a month billed yearly (€452.40 a year): 100 keyword lookups and 100 SERP lookups per 24 hours, 200 tracked keywords updated weekly, 100,000 backlink rows a month, 20 site analyses a day and no extra seats.
- Premium, €52.70 a month billed yearly: 500 lookups a day, unlimited keyword suggestions, 700 tracked keywords updated weekly, 500,000 backlink rows and 3 extra seats.
- Agency, €97.70 a month billed yearly: 1,200 lookups a day, 1,500 tracked keywords updated daily, 1.2 million backlink rows and 5 extra seats.
- Billing and refunds: the Mangools pricing page opens on yearly billing and shows Basic at €452.40 a year against a crossed-out €732.00; Mangools says yearly billing saves about 35%. Monthly plans exist too. A full refund is available within 48 hours of payment (not for two consecutive subscriptions). API and MCP access are included in every plan.
Best for: founders and content writers who are still choosing what to write about, want to size up competitors and their backlinks, and want a first look at how AI assistants talk about their brand, all on a small budget.

Wincher vs Mangools: Feature by Feature
Rank tracking: daily vs weekly
This is the clearest difference. Wincher updates all your keywords every day on every plan, and Standard adds on-demand updates. Mangools' SERPWatcher updates weekly on Basic and Premium and daily only on Agency. Weekly data is fine for a young site that publishes a few articles a month; if you need to see within a day whether a launch, a site migration or a Google update moved you, Wincher is the better tracker. By our own calculation from the default prices, Wincher Basic costs about €0.10 per daily-tracked keyword a month, while Mangools Basic costs about €0.19 per weekly-tracked keyword. At around 1,000 to 1,500 keywords the two meet: Mangools Agency (€97.70 billed yearly, 1,500 daily keywords) against Wincher Standard (€89 billed monthly, 1,000 daily keywords).
Keyword research and competitor analysis
Mangools is stronger here. KWFinder was built to find long-tail keywords a small site can win, and you can search by a competitor's domain to see what it ranks for; SERPChecker then shows the authority of every page in the top 10. Wincher's Keyword Explorer gives unlimited daily lookups and adds keywords straight to the tracker, but returns 50 related keywords per search on Basic, and its competitor view is built around the competitors you track. Our KWFinder vs Wincher comparison goes deeper into this one question.
Backlinks and site analysis
Mangools includes LinkMiner and SiteProfiler, so you can look at any domain's backlinks and authority, within 100,000 backlink rows a month on Basic. Wincher shows a backlink profile for your own landing pages, not a full backlink research tool. If link building is part of your plan, Mangools gives you more for the price.
On-page SEO and content
Wincher wins for writing and fixing pages: every plan has an On-Page SEO checker, SERP Benchmark against the top 10 results and an AI Content Outliner. Mangools' paid bundle has no site audit or on-page checker; its free SEO Content Optimizer uses your Search Console data to suggest improvements, and its free SERP simulator previews titles and descriptions.
AI search visibility
Mangools wins outright. Every plan includes AI Search Watcher PRO with 500 prompts, updated weekly, so you can see whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Google's AI Overviews mention your startup and which competitors they name instead. Wincher's website lists no tracking of AI answers; its AI features suggest keywords and outline content.
Users, reports and integrations
Both entry plans have one user. Mangools adds 3 extra seats on Premium and 5 on Agency; Wincher allows multiple users from Standard and external users on Professional. Wincher has scheduled and white-label PDF reports and Looker Studio from Standard, plus WordPress and Wix integrations. Mangools gives API and MCP access on every plan, so you can pull its data into AI assistants, and SERPWatcher reports can be shared by link.
What Changed Since the Old Version of This Comparison
- Mangools is no longer just KWFinder. The 2026 version of this article treated Mangools as KWFinder plus a few extras. It is now sold as one bundle of five SEO tools with AI Search Watcher PRO, API and MCP in every plan.
- Wincher is no longer only a rank tracker. It added Keyword Explorer, keyword gap, an On-Page SEO checker, SERP Benchmark and an AI Content Outliner, so the old line that Mangools covers research and Wincher only tracking is out of date.
- Prices and trials are now checked. The old version gave no prices. Today Wincher Basic is €49 a month on monthly billing with a 7-day free trial, and Mangools Basic is €37.70 a month on yearly billing with a free plan.
- Removed: claims we could not check, links to third-party review sites and a generic "mistakes to avoid" list.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Your website is new or has fewer than 20 articles: Mangools. Start on the free plan, move to Basic when 5 lookups a day are not enough. Weekly tracking of 200 keywords is plenty at this stage.
- You already rank and publish every week: Wincher. Daily data for 500 keywords on Basic shows quickly which pages slip and need an update.
- You want to know how ChatGPT and AI Overviews describe you: Mangools, because AI Search Watcher PRO is included in every plan.
- You write and fix your own pages: Wincher, for its On-Page SEO checker, SERP Benchmark and AI Content Outliner.
- You build backlinks or study competitors' links: Mangools, with LinkMiner and SiteProfiler.
- You want to test without paying: both work. Mangools has a free plan with no card; Wincher a 7-day free trial with no card.
- You can afford both: Mangools Basic for research and AI visibility plus Wincher Basic for daily tracking is about €86.70 a month by our own sum (Mangools billed yearly, Wincher billed monthly).

How Founders Use Wincher, Mangools and Other SEO Tools
A simple routine is enough for most early-stage startups: find 20 to 50 keywords your customers type before they buy, write one useful page for each, track them with two or three competitors and update the pages that drop. Our guide to finding long-tail keywords shows the research step, and Keyword Tool vs Google Keyword Planner explains Google's own free data. If you want to spend nothing on tracking at first, see our list of free rank trackers and the wider guide to rank trackers.
Thinking about a bigger suite instead? Our Ahrefs alternatives and free Ahrefs alternatives lists cover cheaper all-in-one tools, and Ahrefs vs Semrush compares the two big ones. Search demand is also a cheap test of an idea: if nobody searches for the problem you solve, validate your startup idea with real customers before you build. To find more places to list and promote your startup, browse the F/MS Marketing Directories.
Both tools tell you what to write and where you rank; neither writes the pages. The F/MS AI SEO Tool turns your keywords into articles built to rank on Google and to be cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity, with human editors checking the result. Then track those pages in Wincher or Mangools.
