Top 10 Startup Events on Legal Tech in 2027

Startup Events: find startup events by country, city or type
Legal tech founders sell to some of the most careful buyers there are: law firm partners, general counsel and legal operations teams. These are the ten best legal tech events of 2027 for startups, from London, Amsterdam, Tallinn and Berlin to New York, Chicago, Stanford, Las Vegas and Singapore.
We picked events with a startup programme, a pitch competition or a hall full of legal buyers, with Europe first when quality is equal. We checked every date on the organiser's own website and mark each one as Confirmed (date on the official site), Announced (reliable second source only) or Expected (based on past editions only). All ten below are Confirmed for 2027. Two shows have changed: TechLaw.Fest in Singapore becomes LegalWeek Asia, and Legal Revolution has moved from Frankfurt to Berlin.
This article is regularly updated with new events. Do you know about an event that needs to be added? Send us some info and we will see if it's a fit.

Why legal tech events matter: the numbers

  • Venture funding to legal tech start-ups passed $4 billion in 2025, a record and nearly double the $2.2 billion of 2024, according to Crunchbase News.
  • LegalComplex counts it differently: $5.99 billion raised in 2025 with fourteen rounds of $100 million or more, but only 292 companies raised money, 27% fewer than in 2024, according to Artificial Lawyer. More money is going to fewer companies, so being seen by buyers and investors matters.
  • Women are still rare among legal tech founders: they made up 14.5% in a 2021 count reported by LawSites, the most recent global figure we found.

How to choose a legal tech event

  1. Pitch or sell? LegalTechTalk's LaunchPad, ABA TECHSHOW's Startup Alley and Legal Geek's Startup Alley put you in front of judges and buyers; Legalweek, CLOC and Legal Revolution are for meeting buyers.
  2. Use the start-up rates. LegalTechTalk's £295 Startup Pass and Legal Geek's discounted start-up tickets cost a fraction of the vendor prices at the big US shows.
  3. Pick your buyer. Corporate legal teams go to CLOC and Legal Geek Europe; small firms go to ABA TECHSHOW and Legal Geek Growth; big law firm IT teams go to ILTA events and the British Legal Technology Forum.
  4. Read the vendor rules. Legalweek's cheaper passes are not valid for vendors, so check what a founder may buy before you book.
  5. Check the new names. TechLaw.Fest is now LegalWeek Asia, Legal Revolution is in Berlin, and Legal Geek belongs to the Legalweek owner.
